I do not think it is often mentioned but siblings also have effects on how a person grows up. Whether they are there to replace parents or to fill in for the missing one. Sometimes there to even replace teachers.

It was kind of difficult here, because there was always a bit of distance between them and their parents. Their dad was away all the time, and their mum was usually busy and had a lot of stuff to deal with. She tried, but she's not naturally the warmest person in the world, either. I imagine things improved over time.
Cannot tell but at least it seems the three avoided the usual. Family business being pushed on them or talks about succession. Sebastian being a studious person does not necessarily mean requirements were harsher with him although it does look like his sisters had it maybe a bit easier?
